MAKE A DIFFERENCE ... HELP FEED OUR HUNGRY

For more than 20 years, Scouts of all ages in our Council have collected food to help the 45,000 families who depend on the generosity of their neighbors to help them feed their children during tough times. We have an opportunity to help again in 2008 through our Scouting for Food program. Most units distribute bags to homes across Howard County and neighbors fill the bags with nonperishable food, and set the filled bags out for Scouts to pick-up. Other units make arrangements to collect food at local stores.

FAQ:

Q: How can my unit participate?

A: Designate a Scouting for Food Coordinator and have that person go through the SFF Check-sheet.

Q: How do I report outcomes, issues and suggestions?

A: Write to the coordinators or include your observations in your unit's After Action Report.

Q: What about the BSA Good Turn for America award?

A: Report your unit's contributions directly to the Good Turn for America website. Here are some hints.

Q: What about Girl Scout Units?

A: The registration process is identical. However, please also notify your Service Unit Coordinator.
